At Another, they are currently looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join a large commercial business in Sheffield. Reporting to the Group HR Manager, you will be responsible for supporting a broad range of HR generalist activities whilst driving the HR agenda alongside the wider HR team. This is an exciting role, working within a fast-paced environment.
The HR Advisor is responsible for the following:
- Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees across all regions on all HR policies, practices and procedures.
- Ensure employee absenteeism is monitored and reported monthly and any issues are dealt with at the earliest opportunity.
- Supporting the resourcing manager with the recruitment process as an when required
- Ensure the business manages its people appropriately so as to adopt best practice and comply with the company values and employment legislation, mitigating any risks to the business.
- Work with managers and stakeholders to provide advice and support with all people related issues – including managing disciplinary, grievance and redundancy meetings etc
- Represent the company during any disputes with ex-employees i.e ACAS Conciliation and/or Employment Tribunal, where required.
- Supporting the HR Director and wider HR team in the delivery of the people plan and working on HR projects appropriately, these could range from restructuring, systems, reward & benefits, health and wellbeing etc.
- Provide a high-quality service and act as a trusted HR Advisor whilst building credible stakeholder relationships.
- Liaising with medical practitioners and the occupational health provider where necessary.
- Co-ordinate safety critical medicals on necessary new starters and arranging follow up medicals as required with the occupational health provider.
- Provide HR administrative support – drafting offer letters/contracts of employment/ administer new starters and leavers process as required.
- Support the company’s annual pay and bonus processes as required.
- Liaising with payroll as and when required and ensuring employee records are kept accurate and up to date.
We are looking for people with the following skills and experience:
- Ideally CIPD level 5 qualified or working towards
- Proven experience of working as a HR Advisor, ideally gained in a commercial environment
- Previous experience of working across multiple sites
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and managing complex ER cases
- Experience of supporting change projects would be ideal
- Strong experience of building relationships and managing stakeholder
You will need to be a car driver as there will be travel required in this role
