Another Recruitment are looking for a Talent Development Specialist to work with a well-established business in North Yorkshire for a period of 12 months.  You will work collaboratively with the wider HR, talent and learning and development team to design, develop and implement business wide talent development programs and initiatives.

We are looking for candidates who have proven experience of supporting a talent, learning and development agendas.  This role will be varied, from supporting the development pathways of entry level talent to aspiring talent at all levels across the organisation.  You will address the assessment tools and the identification of existing and future talent, succession planning and development of employees.


The Role

 

  • Co-create bespoke in-house development interventions that aide career progression and retention opportunities.
  • Support the design and implementation of a development framework. 
  • Supporting the implementation of an annual talent and performance review cycle - including but not limited to; talent heat maps, talent pipelining, succession planning and talent seminars.
  • Work towards a long-term ambition to ensure development/stretch opportunities are identified both internally and externally.
  • Source of expert advice and guidance to your HR colleagues and clients in relation to talent development
  • Ensure talent and succession discussions are action focussed
  • Development assessment centres and their validity 
  • Evaluate internal and external development data to inform business insight and to support future workforce and succession planning
  • Respond to future workforce needs as well as capturing future talent and high potential
  • Work closely with operational L&D colleagues to ensure seamless on-boarding & induction for all new hires
  • Responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating programmes, such as apprenticeships, graduate schemes
  • Create a dynamic environment for career development across the business
  • Support in the facilitation of coaching, mentoring, 360 appraisal.
  • Develop effective relationships across all business areas and at different levels to promote and drive alignment of talent development best practices

 

We are looking for candidates with the following experience

 

  • Ideally be CIPD qualified (or with an equivalent level of experience)
  • Proven experience of working with a learning and development role where you have developed the capability of existing and future talent which has contributed to improved organisational performance.
  • Have a strong understanding of identifying and evaluating development needs
  • Experience of identifying talent development and designing and evaluating development programmes
  • Strong relationship and stakeholder management experience
  • Proactive and have strong initiative
